Call Sequencing on small business telephone systems

Call sequencing is a communications service that makes the incoming traffic of calls more efficient. If you have number of destinations in your office, you can subscribe call sequencing service onto your system. This service ensure you that you there is always some to attending the incoming calls. This service is very common in call centers and customer care centers. It allows you to set your own sequence of destinations.

What actually happens in call sequencing feature is that the incoming call is successively directed to different pre-selected destination telephone numbers in the sequence until either the subscriber is reached. You can also include your home landline, mobile number, or any other number in the sequence as well.

This service has been ever popular on non geographic numbers (0800 numbers, 0844, etc). When a caller dials on any non geographic number, for instance 0800 uk numbers, your small business telephone system will receive the incoming call and divert onto first destination number in the sequence to which the sequencing call is initially completed. After couple of rings, the call will be forwarded to the second telephone number in the sequence. This process continues until either a call supervision tone is received by the communications system (e.g., the call is answered) or all the destination numbers listed in the sequence have been exhausted. In the worst case, when call is not been able successfully attended on any of the destination, it will give the caller an option of leaving a voicemail for you. You can listen that audio message later on.
